International Journal of IT Standards & Standardisation Research (JITSR)

The International Journal of IT Standards & Standardisation Research (JITSR) is an official publication of the Information Resources Management Association (IRM), published by the Idea Group Publishing, Hershey PA, USA with two issues per year. The journal publishes conceptional and empirical papers concerned with IT standards research. In addition, position papers, and book and thesis reviews complement the research papers.

Vol. 1, No.1, Jan.-June 2003 presents 3 research papers and 5 position papers from policy makers, standards, industrial user and consumer organisations. Book and thesis review and a list of recent research publications on standards completes the first issue. The research papers address the problems of block alliances in formal standardisation, the timing of standards and the market strategies of high-tech start-ups in relation to standards.

Vol. 1, No 2, July-Dec. 2003 presents 4 research papers and 3 position papers from academia and standards organisations. Book and thesis review and a list of events completes the second issue. Networks in economics, negotiating in the actors network on standardisation and a description of the work in a CEN working group are the research topics in the second volume.
